Burberry Body is the latest fragrance from Burberry and was released in September last year.
I was lucky enough to grab a sample through Facebook last summer - a very generous 30ml.
It doesn't sound a lot to most people but the usual perfume vials you get given as samples are usually around 1 ml which gives you some idea of how much Burberry gave away here. Of course it was part of their PR for the launch but still, I appreciate the fact I've used this loads and still have tons left. It comes beautifully packaged with a typically svelte Burberry beauty adorning the box it was posted in. The box containing the bottle is a luxurious-feeling cream card number with gold embossing.
And the bottle carries on the gorgeousness.
Now as you'd expect, this is an expensive whiff - but my goodness it's beautiful! It's kind of grown up but girly at the same time. From what I can gather it has woody base notes with floral top notes - most notably, sandalwood, musk, rose and freesia. The other notes are peach, iris and green absinthe... I have to assume it's not *that* kind of absinthe! I did ask my other half what he thought it smelled like and after a bit of deliberation he came up with 'flowery vodka'. Pretty accurate, no?! I would say it smells a lot nicer than that sounds though!
I have used this a lot - at a guess over 20 times - and the bottle is still half full which I'm super impressed with - thank you Burberry! I have to say it's a change from my usual sweet, flowery, girly scents but I really love it. When I run out I would consider buying it but it is quite far out of my usual price range. 35ml at Boots costs £45 which is quite pricey but with smells like this you are paying for the brand name to an extent. I do really love it though, if I save up some Advantage Card points I might treat myself!
So ladies, have you tried this? What did you think? Will you be splashing out on Burberry Body?
